Bright sunshine woke us on the morning of 17 May, a good omen if ever there was one for a highly successful day.  The pealing of St Mary’s bells provided the background to the set up of the Rotary Fair on The Green, including once again, the Heritage Trust’s ever popular Bric-a-brac stall.  Churchill and Walthamstow Hall Junior School Choirs delighted with their performances and were followed by the very talented Saxophone quartet from Eltham College.  St Mary’s own choir brought the morning of music to an end.  The afternoon saw a constant stream of visitors keen to learn about the bells and to climb the spiral staircase to the tower to have  a closer view.
